CKA INTERNATIONAL ASSOCIATION

The CKA KARATE SYSTEM is a dynamic and effective method of training that is practical for self-defense. Easy to learn for all ages, it is applicable in realistic situations and improves your fitness level by developing well-rounded combative and fighting skills.

Over the last several decades, karate has lost its core effectiveness as a method of self-defense due to the emphasis most schools place on point-based systems for tournament and competition. CKA is committed to preserving the integrity of Karate-do by teaching the techniques and philosophies that ensure karate’s effectiveness where it matters most.

CKA strives in bringing life to the old techniques found in Traditional KATA in to real life practical scenarios with a variety of APPLICABLE solo exercises, two-man drills and impact drills utilizing modern training equipment such as pads, mitts, heavy bags and kick shields.

These techniques are also applied in sparring drills to further empower your students with the confidence they seek when learning martial arts.

The CKA System a very traditional form of karate Based on Japanese and Okinawan styles such as Shotokan, Tomori-te and Goju Ryu. This modern system was developed and adapted by Shihan Claycomb to be effective in real life street self-defense and effective for MMA and Kickboxing competitions was well.

CKA Students are empowered with these methods and are able to take use their skills EFFECTIVELY due to the FOCUS in training is always based what REALLY WORKS WELL, NOT just for what LOOKS GOOD in a performance.

As such, CKA utilizes traditional techniques including punches, knees, kicks, elbows, Throws, Clinches and Sweeps and also incorporates basic takedowns and submissions as well.

A HUGE PERK of Joining CKA is that you don't have to SHIFT or CHANGE your current direction. Rather CKA seeks to ENHANCE your dojo with adding more value and practicality to the programs and training you already provide.
